Defeating Healers and Shields in Tower Rush

If left unchecked, a single dedicated healer can provide thousands of points of 'free' hitpoints to an attacking push, making it virtually unstoppable.

Many novice players make the fatal error of focusing all their defensive damage on the massive tank, ignoring the tiny support unit standing behind it.
Assassinating the Backline
You must find a way to bypass the massive meat shield in front and deliver high burst damage directly to the fragile healer in the back.

Deploy your assassin directly behind the enemy push, ensuring it locks onto the healer before the tank can turn around to protect it.
Use it to physically pull the healer away from the tank she is trying to heal.Choose the right tool.Track their elixir carefully. Dealing with Clone and Rage Synergy
Healing units are often paired with incredibly gimmicky, high-risk spells like Clone or Rage to create an overwhelming, chaotic push.

The definitive counter to any Clone strategy is a cheap, instant-cast splash spell like the Log, Zap, or Snowball.
Healer CategoryHow it WorksBest Counter StrategyFrontline SupportHeals herself and surrounding units every time she successfully lands a melee attackUse flying units she cannot hit, or drop a high-DPS unit directly on her head to kill her before she swingsTemporary ProtectionJumps onto a group of units, providing a massive, instant burst of healingPlace a cheap distraction unit (like skeletons) in its path to force it to trigger early, wasting the heal entirely Patience and Precision
The visual clutter and constant healing numbers can cause panic, leading to terrible card placements and wasted spells.

Master the backline dive, and dominate the arena.
