Luke Humphries thinks he is prepared to take the next step in his profession by winning a television event as he heads to New York for the bet365 US Darts Masters.
The 28-year-old taken pleasure in a great 2022 on the European Tour as he won the Czech Open, European Grand Prix, European Matchplay and the German Grand Prix.

He also won two Players Championships events, however he is yet to taste success on a TV phase - regardless of coming close when losing to James Wade in the final of the 2021 UK Open and getting to the 2022 Grand Slam of Darts semi-finals.
Speaking solely to bet365 ahead of the event, Humphries is primed and ready to take his moment in the bet365 US Darts Masters.
"I'm trying to find that next big win, I've won quite a couple of tournaments on the European tour and I have actually took every little action there is in my profession," said Humphries.
"When I started at youth level I won that, then I began winning on the Pro Tour and the European Tour, now its time to get that TV phase win.
"I understand its coming, I understand I have actually got the capability, I wouldn't have been chosen for this if the PDC didn't think I might win.
"This is the next action, get that TV win and I feel I might win a lot more. I'm not saying I might win every competition however I understand I've got the capability to go on and win a lot more.
"This would be an excellent stepping-stone if I could win in New York."
This year's event sees a go back to Madison Square Garden, one of the most iconic venues worldwide of sport, after a successful 2022 event.
For Humphries, it's not just his very first time dipping into the venue, but it's also his very first time playing in America, something he states that he is relishing.
"New York was always a location I wished to go, all these events you get welcomed to, it's a privilege to be a part of. I'm really eagerly anticipating existing and becoming part of it.
"It's a mad scenario for me, simply coming from a town in Newbury to going to dip into Madison Square Garden is an incredible thing that I never ever thought I would do.
"It is among those things I can check off the bucket list and it would be a great feeling if I could go there and win. It did well for Michael Smith last year, so I'm hoping I can go there and win."
The competition represents another chance for the sport to grow further afield, with the popularity rising in countries such as USA all the time.
'Cool Hand Luke' believes that more can be accomplished in America and that the capacity is there to discover some more quality gamers.
"The video game is growing quite a lot all around the world. We've been to Bahrain this year, Copenhagen, we're at New York, Poland and Australia - the video game is throughout every country.
"America is one market that needs that little additional push that might unearth some terrific gamers. It's a massive nation and there's got to be some actually great gamers out there in America who might come by here and actually develop a wave and get themselves in the top 32.
