DraftKings Named Official Sports Betting, DFS Operator of St. Louis Blues


DraftKings and the St. Louis Blues have actually revealed a significant partnership that will see the sportsbook named the official sports wagering and everyday fantasy operator of the NHL group.

- The partnership includes in-arena signage, brand combinations, and accountable gaming messaging during games.

- DraftKings especially goes into the Missouri market boasting one of the two "untethered" mobile licenses offered, enabling the sportsbook to run statewide.

Announced on Thursday, the offer marks a first in the state of Missouri for the Blues, as legal Missouri sports wagering equipments up for its debut in the Gateway to the West on Dec. 1.

The offer will see DraftKings feature several throughout Blues games, including a pregame in-arena function on responsible betting, in addition to in-arena signs and brand integration throughout the season.

"Providing Blues fans with the tools on how to play responsibly is a high priority for our company as we all get ready for sports betting to launch in Missouri in December," stated Steve Chapman, St. Louis Blues' chief revenue and marketing officer, by means of release.

"Through the accessibility of these resources, and exclusive experiences and occasions created for Blues fans starting in December, our deal with DraftKings will assist inform clients on how to play responsibly while bringing them closer to their preferred hockey team."

The Blues offer marks their 2nd major partnership in the last 6 weeks, with fast-rising wagering platform Underdog coming to terms on a collective partnership in October.

DraftKings uniquely positioned in Missouri

DraftKings is geared to debut highly once legal Missouri sports betting apps get in the state. Already the country's No. 2 sportsbook by handle, it made one of two "untethered" licenses in the state, together with Circa Sportsbook.

Most significantly, the deal permits DraftKings to operate independently across the state without the need for association with a land-based gambling establishment or sports group.

"We're happy to secure one of two direct mobile licenses in Missouri - paving the method for us to bring DraftKings' industry-leading online sportsbook to fans across the state," DraftKings president and co-founder Matt Kalish stated in an August statement.

The license will also make Missouri the 29th state where DraftKings will offer regulated sports betting.
